CC3 does not currently support the creation of true Daz-like geografts.
In Daz Studio, as in Character Creator, the topology of a character's mesh cannot be changed (i.e., vertices cannot be added or removed). To get around this limitation, Daz allows users to hide portions of a mesh and then add geometry (wings, extra arms, horns, etc.) in such a way that it blends seamlessly with the original mesh (covering the hidden geometry). Crucially, this added geometry - referred to as a "geograft" - can have it's own armature/bones, which can be used to create poses for the geograft itself (e.g., to make wings fold & unfold).
I would like to see a similar feature in CC3. One possibility might be to give us the ability to add bones to a cloth object (or import cloth that has been rigged with additional bones).
