I have this issue as well...I try to use the scrubber to go back to frame one but I don’t usually remember to. I mindlessly click the start button and watch helplessly as my program freezes then poof..... it’s gone. While I am able to recover my work most of the time, it is quite disruptive and frankly gives me gas. And that .... is something no one wants.. trust me on this. Icone also crashes when I open a project after saving the project I was previously working on. This is equally disruptive and time consuming.
I can confirm this random bug. It is really annoying but I cannot intentionally reproduce it at will. There is however a distinct pattern, which anyone can reproduce and I think that is part of the problem, which eventually causing iClone to crash. This mostly relate to projects with extensive animations on the timeline, or otherwise large projects. If you have a scrabber at the start frame and use an "End" button to move it, it only takes a split second to do the job. Then if you click a "Start" button, it might take up to 5-7 seconds (in my projects) to move it back to the beginning. Why? I am just moving a scrabber back and nothing else. Why should it take that long to go back?
