Auto Setup v1.02 resets assets import changes for assets outside its usual folders
Conditions:
- Unity 2019.3.10f1 - Auto Setup for Unity v1.02 - Unity URP project - Note that the selected iClone version in this case is probably irrelevant
To reproduce:
1. Create a new Unity URP project (URP may not be relevant but is what was used locally) in Unity 2019.3.10f1 2. Import the Auto Setup for Unity v1.02 package for URP 3. Unzip the the attached zip file and import seagullMDL@flap_modif.fbx file in any folder except for the CC_Assets folder. 4. Select the imported fbx file, go to the "Animation" section in the inspector and try to change something like the "Loop Time" boolean on the included animation. 5. Click on "Apply" and observe that the checkbox is reset. 6. When returning to the project (by clicking the scene/game window for example) you will be notified that import settings have changed and are unapplied. You will have to "revert" to preserve the changes you made earlier, which is confusing and error prone.
Expected behaviour:
The Auto Setup package should not affect files not coming from CC, or files outside its folder scope.
Hi bartartanim,
It's a limitation. Before adjusting the settings of the imported CC assets, you need to make sure that Character Creator Setup > Auto-Processing is turned off. These adjustments can include tweaking motions and replacing materials.
