Alembic cache exported by Alembic 1.5.4 may crash Maya 2013 (1.0.4) and Maya 2013.5 (Alembic 1.0.5) when importing through gpuCache and Alembic importer
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launch iClone 6
2. Apply a random project (e.g. G6 Intro), pick a random character (e.g. Mason)
3. Navigate to Menu > File > Export Alembic, save the exported .abc file to desktop
4. Launch Autodesk Maya 2013 x64
5. Navigate to Cache > Alembic Cache > Import Alembic, load the saved .abc file to program

ACTUAL RESULT
Error message “Fatal Error. Attempting to save in C:/Users/XXX/AppData/Local/Temp/XXX.ma” appears, and then the program crashes

EXPECTED RESULT
The exported Alembic file can be imported to Maya

Alembic cache exported by Alembic 1.5.4 may crash Maya 2013 (Alembic 1.0.4) and Maya 2013.5 (Alembic 1.0.5) when importing through gpuCache and Alembic importer. This is a forward compatibility problem. Alembic only maintains backward compatibility, but not forward compatibility
