Adaptive Subdivision and Micropolygon Displacements
These new features will use 88% less memory for your entire iClone scene. This means scenes 8x larger and more detailed are possible. It will also render 2.4x faster. It automatically optimizes everything in your scene and produces finer details. It works also in the form of adaptive refresh so your real time display as you edit can be up to 8x larger and more detailed, without experiencing additional lag.
It is open source code in Blender 2.78 so we can adapt it to our needs in stage 3 of the iClone 7 release. Unless anyone has a better way to render faster, and work on larger and more complex scenes/terrains etc.
