Issue 8108
3DXChange Imports Geometry Incorrectly
Exported a tire from Blender using OBJ and the FBX file format.
Importing the tire using the OBJ file causes crash (issue for this problem is already open).
Importing the tire using the FBX file causes the geometry and UV mapping to be imported incorrectly.

Enclosed is a snapshot of the Blender render. As can be seen, the tire is supposed to be hollow inside (and this is not done with an opacity map, it is done so with the mesh).
Enclosed is also the geometry that is imported via 3DXChange. As can be seen the first problem is that the geometry is wrong. The tire is no longer hollow on the inside. In addition, the UV mapping seem to be imported incorrectly because the hub cap texture is missing while the tire tread is present. Both the hubcap texture and tire tread come from the same texture map so the texture map is loading but the UVs for the hubcap portion of the tire are not loading correctly.

Note: While it is a little hard to see with the black texture, I have confirmed that the 3DXChange imported geometry is not hollow. This can be easily seen when the texture is changed to something more lighter.

Triangulating the mesh before importing seemed to have resolved the issue.
